UAE School and University Sports Federation, under the leadership of HE Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education, Chairman of General Authority of Sports and President of UAE School and University Sports Federation is taking steps to promote sports among students and develop future champions in the UAE. The launch of school games training centers in coordination with the Ministry of Education and the Emirates Schools Establishment is a great initiative to provide students with the opportunity to train and excel in eight individual games. These are the eight sports Swimming, athletics, fencing, shooting, badminton, judo, taekwondo and Archery.
Launch of the school games training centers and the electronic platform will be officially announced next Monday in a special conference at the headquarters of the General Authority of
Sports in Dubai.
It's also exciting that the conference will be attended by various notable figures, including HE Sheikh Suhail Bin Butti Al Maktoum, the Executive Director of the Sports Development Sector at the General Authority of Sports, and the General Secretary of UAE School and Univrsity Sports Federtation, members of the Board of Directors of the Federation, and representatives of the Ministry of Education and the Emirates Schools Establishment. This demonstrates the level of importance and attention that is being given to the development of sports in the UAE. I look forward to learning more about the details of the centers and how they will contribute to the growth of sports in the country.
The Federation's focus on discovering talents at an early age and developing long-term plans is an excellent approach to nurturing and fostering the growth of sports in the UAE. By working in coordination with the education and sports sectors, as well as the federations involved in the selected games, the Federation can create a well-rounded and comprehensive approach to sports development.
It's also exciting to hear that the Federation is targeting all students in various public and private schools in the UAE, as well as universities, with 35 universities already joining the Federation. This inclusive approach will allow a larger number of students to participate and benefit from the activities and programs offered by the Federation, which will ultimately support UAE sports. With a concerted effort from all sectors involved, the Federation can achieve its goal of producing future global champions for the country
